Pineapple Salsa

This colorful pineapple salsa recipe is a delicious medley of sweet and spicy flavors. Pineapple and mango provide sweetness, while jalapeño and hot sauce add a kick of heat. Use the salsa as a topping for tacos, or serve as a dip with your favorite tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chopped fresh pineapple

  • 1 cup chopped fresh mango

  • 1 cup finely chopped red bell pepper

  • ¾ cup finely chopped red onion

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for garnish

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped seeded jalapeño pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Mexican-style hot sauce

  • ½ teaspoon grated lime zest

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Stir pineapple, mango, bell pepper, onion, cilantro and jalapeño together in a large bowl. Add hot sauce, lime zest, lime juice and salt; toss until coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  2. Transfer to a serving bowl; garnish with additional cilantro, if desired.

To make ahead

Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
