This air-fryer crab Rangoon recipe is a breeze to make. A simple filling of crab and cream cheese is encased in crispy wonton wrappers. We dip this easy appetizer in an orange-scented sweet-and-savory dipping sauce, but any store-bought sauce, from sweet chili to duck sauce, will work well too., June 2022

Ingredient Checklist

Instructions Checklist
  • Stir apricot spread, chile-garlic sauce, soy sauce, orange zest and orange juice together in a small bowl; set aside.

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Place a small bowl of water by your workstation and coat a small baking sheet with cooking spray. Combine cream cheese, crab, chives, Worcestershire, garlic, pepper and salt in a medium bowl. Lay 6 wonton wrappers on a clean work surface. (Keep the remaining wrappers covered until ready to use to prevent them from drying out.) Place about 2 teaspoons crab filling in the center of each wrapper. Dip your finger in the water; working with 1 wrapper at a time, run your finger along the outer edge of the wrapper to moisten it. Bring together 2 opposite corners over the filling and press them together to adhere. Bring the remaining 2 corners up toward the center, pressing together the edges of the wrapper to enclose the filling. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the procedure with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  • Place 9 dumplings in the fryer basket. Coat the dumplings with cooking spray; cook until crispy and golden brown, about 8 minutes. Repeat the procedure with the remaining dumplings. Serve with the sauce.
