If you like, lower the carbs by using a dusting of powdered sugar or some sugar-free syrup in place of the light syrup on this heavenly french toast.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together egg product, milk, orange peel, vanilla, and cinnamon. Dip bread into egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
Coat an unheated large nonstick skillet or griddle with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat over medium heat. Place bread on hot skillet or griddle; cook for 4 to 6 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Serve warm. Serve with syrup and blueberries. If desired, garnish individual servings with strawberries. Makes 4 servings (8 slices).
