Made this recipe today, and both my mother and I loved it! I did make some changes to mine though, I made it Gluten, Dairy & Sugar Free which cut the calories down to 140 per slice since my mother is a diabetic she has to watch what she eats and we are also lactose intolerant and wheat products just make us feel heavy. I switched my recipe to use Vegan Cream Cheese, Gluten Free Flour, Stevia, Almond Milk and Plant based Butter.
If you love lemons, you'll love this cake! Great recipe. The cake came out dense and tasty. I followed the directions exactly. My family loved it. Pros: Lower in fat than a traditional pound cake.
