Ruined Chinese Take Out This tastes just like one of my favorite stir fry recipes from a certain other website that calls for lemon jello instead of something real. It was seriously so delicious. I added the juice from the whole lemon and it wasn't too lemony at all. I will make this again and again.
Easy tasty and made in Steamwave instead of skillet I recently got a Sharp Steamwave AX-1100S and cooked the chicken and vegetables inthe steamwave instead of the skillet.I made the sauce in a pyrex bowl in the microwave and added to the chicken and vegetabes in a bowl after they cooked in the steamwave. I served over rice I cooked in the microwave and it made a good meal. You could mix it up and use different vegetables and meat and customize the recipe to suit your taste. Pros: Healthy balance of vegetables and meat protein Cons: none
Missing something Tasting this while cooking it was apparent that it was missing something. The lemon was to subtle and left it a little bland. I added crushed black pepper and sriracha. Made it taste like a much more complete dish. Pros: Easy to make
Very good! We loved this! I used the zest of 1/2 a lemon still used the same quantity of lemon juice and also added a Tbsp of hoisin sauce to add some sweetness. I modified the veggies based on what I had on hand...and will make it again. Pros: Tasty healthy Cons: Time consuming
Lemon in stir fry = disgustingly overpowering clash Citrus - especially this incredible amount of lemon - just doesn't belong in a traditional soy sauce-based stir fry. It's an overwhelming clash of flavors that will leave any unsuspecting taster squint-eyed and gasping pleading Why did you do this to me? If you'd like to experiment with citrus and stir fry try a light squeeze of lemon on the plated food or simply serving it with a lemon wedge. But seriously - don't make this recipe as-is. It's a disgusting affront to Asian cooking.
