Agostino Petroni is the author of Memoria Nueva, a book about indigenous agriculture in Latin America. He's also written dozens of reported features that appear in publications such as National Geographic, The Atlantic, Bloomberg, BBC, The Guardian and The Washington Post. He won the 2022 Collier Journalism Award, which recognizes works on forest or conservation history, for his reporting on a deadly disease that is killing southern Italian olive groves. Agostino has reported in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas, and he was invited in 2019 to give a TEDx talk about his work.
