What you eat for breakfast can either fuel you for the next couple of hours or leave you tired and hungry before lunchtime. There are many healthy, nutritious breakfast options that taste great and are easy to make when you're rushing to get out the door. And if you're hoping to add a few more breakfast options to your weekly rotation, here's what to pick based on your zodiac sign, as chosen by psychic Joshua MacGuire, also known as "Joshua the Psychic."

Aries: Black Bean and Corn with Poached Egg

Aries' ruling planet is Mars, and many bold spices are also related to Mars (think: allspice, chili pepper, cumin, coriander, curry  and more). MacGuire says, "Aries should go for spicy breakfasts. Maybe a garlicky, spicy bean-based dish with eggs and pancetta." He adds, "If you're not into spicy foods, you could enjoy peppermint tea in morning, as it's also related to Mars." Taurus: Greek Yogurt with Fruit & Nuts

Add some fruit to your breakfast, Taurus! MacGuire says that Venus rules over Taurus and many types of fruit, so it's favorable for your sign. He recommends that you should try "a bowl of yogurt, a plate of whole-grain waffles topped with banana or blackberry, or some avocado toast." Gemini: Blueberry Almond Chia Pudding


MacGuire says it's important for ever-changing Gemini not to get bored with their breakfast. To keep things interesting, he suggests choosing different foods ruled by Gemini's ruling planet, Mercury, such as, "a yogurt or shake with almonds or something that goes well with oranges, which are also attributed to Mercury." Try making a big batch of oatmeal or chia pudding and swapping out your toppings every day for variety. If you're on the go, grab a bag of almonds, pistachios or Brazil nuts, all of which are favorable to your sign and high in protein, healthy fats and fiber. Cancer: Lemon-Rosemary Melting Potatoes

Lemon is favorable to the moon, Cancer's ruling planet. "For heartier stuff, maybe try a homemade diner-style skillet breakfast potatoes you can prep the night before," he says. You could try topping these lemon-rosemary potatoes with some eggs and turkey bacon. For a beverage, MacGuire says you may want to try cucumber water in the morning. Leo: Pineapple Green Smoothie

MacGuire says, "Something citrusy is great for Leos because citrus fruits relate to the sun, your ruling planet." He says that you could grab a glass of fresh-squeezed OJ or try a pineapple smoothie (pro tip: add in a spoonful of cashew butter, as both pineapple and cashews are linked to the sun). Virgo: Lemon Raspberry Muffins

Mercury, Virgo's ruling planet, is linked with lemon, so lemon muffins or Greek yogurt with lemon curd may be especially good for health-conscious Virgos. Your sign's symbol is a maiden carrying a bundle of wheat, so baked goods made with whole-wheat flour or flax (which is ruled by Mercury) could be good. Libra: Super Breakfast Burritos

Libra is ruled by the planet Venus and should include Venus-ruled apricots in their breakfast. MacGuire suggests putting some in your yogurt, on top of cereal or in pancakes. Not into apricots? Venus also rules over corn, so a southwest burrito bowl for breakfast could be good, too. Scorpio: Spinach-Avocado Smoothie

Scorpios generally do well with a hearty, strong breakfasts. Since your sign is ruled by intense Mars, MacGuire suggests eating "anything garlicky or spicy." If you want something that's less pungent first thing in the morning, he suggests eating hydrating, water-rich fruit (perfect for you, since Scorpio is a water sign!). Sagittarius: Healthy Carrot Cake Muffins


If you like to have coffee in the morning, try sprinkling a little bit of nutmeg in it since the spice is related to your ruling planet Jupiter, MacGuire explains. As for food, Sagittarius should incorporate carrots in their breakfasts. "Carrots are associated with fire (Sagittarius is a fire sign), and supposedly help your eyes. Capricorns are an earth sign, "so breakfasts with potato, rhubarb, turnips , beets or corn would be particularly good," MacGuire says. Aquarius is an air sign and MacGuire says you should eat beans since "they're linked with air." You could try a black bean and egg burrito or a breakfast bowl with your favorite legumes for staying power. He adds, "Aquarians with overactive minds may also benefit from mint tea, as mint will give them mental clarity." Almonds are also linked to the air element, so you could stir some almond butter into your oatmeal, toss almond slices on top of your pancakes or put almond milk in your morning smoothie. MaGuire says, "It's a good idea for Pisces to really treat themselves to a very hearty, healthy breakfast, as more than any other sign, they can get caught up in making sacrifices all day for other people." Pisces' symbol is two fish swimming in opposite directions, so try opting for a fish-forward breakfast.
