Buying gifts for people can be hard—especially if you're buying for someone you don't know that well or for the "person who has everything" (because everyone has a notoriously hard-to-buy-for person on their list). Not to mention, as adults, we tend to buy ourselves the things we really want, anyway. I'm definitely not a gift-giving expert, but I've found an idea that I love to give and receive: fun dish towels! I love giving dish towels because they come in thousands of different sayings, colors and inside jokes. Want one for your pug-loving friend or your partner who's into Star Wars? Yeah, there's a dish towel for that. And for people who love to cook, eat or hang out in the kitchen, it's the perfect under-$15 gift or stocking stuffer. Plus, it's a fun way for them to switch up their kitchen decor without committing to something more serious like a paint color. Here are a few dish towels that I'm obsessed with. The Best Dish Towels to Give as Gifts A Handwritten Recipe Dish Towel When my husband's grandmother died, I asked his mom for one of her handwritten recipe cards (and promised to bring it back). I had a tea towel made with her famous fudge recipe—and his mom still uses it in her kitchen to this day. Whether your recipient has always begged for your pasta recipe or loves the cocktails from a local restaurant, you can have the recipe printed on one of these towels. Custom Recipe Tea Towel Etsy A Custom Dish Towel There are infinite ways to customize this tea towel. Whether you just want to write their name, "grandma's kitchen" or a hilarious inside joke, you can't go wrong. Choose from five colors of vinyl printing to give it an extra special touch. Custom Dish Towel A Pet Tea Towel I'm in love with these tea towels because you message the shop owner a few high-res images of your pet and they will print a chic black-and-white outline on the towel with your pet's name. How stinking cute is this?! Custom Pet Tea Towel A Funny Tea Towel You could give the veggie lover in your life one of these this tea towels that have sayings like "broc on" or "kiss my asparagus." ($12, Etsy). Or, for your favorite cheeky friend, you could snag this vintage-inspired dish towel that says, "I could keep this kitchen clean if you people would just stop eating here" ($13, Etsy). But my personal favorite is this wine workout towel. Wine Workout Towel Jaime Milan is EatingWell’s digital editor for all things newsy and trending.
