This 3-Ingredient Dip Made with Trader Joe's Products Takes 30 Seconds to Make
We love whipping up DIY hummus, bruschetta, guac and homemade salsa recipes to control the quality of ingredients and customize the mix-ins, seasonings and toppings. (Everything But the Bagel Rainbow Hummus for the win!)
But let's be honest: We don't always have the time or interest in chopping up ingredients and dirtying dishes every single time we have a snack attack. Enter this almost-too-easy idea from one of our favorite Instagram follows, @traderjoeslist.
The savvy shopper has "been making this dip for yearssss," noting that it was the first Trader Joe's recipe she made about a decade ago. We can see why she loved it then and still makes it now—essentially all the work is done after you shop at Trader Joes.
Here's how easy it is: Open a package of steamed, ready-to-eat lentils. Pour 'em into a big bowl. Dump in a tub of Trader Giotto's Bruschetta sauce. Sprinkle in crumbled feta. Toss and devour!
With a solid dose of protein and fiber from the lentils (½ cup has 120 calories, 0 grams of fat, 9 grams of protein, 20 grams of carbs and 8 grams of fiber) plus vitamins from the tomatoes in the bruschetta, this is one well-balanced dish that's ideal for scooping up with your favorite tortilla or pita chips. But we also have our sights set on using leftovers of this 3-ingredient recipe as a topper for grilled steak or chicken come dinner. Our next TJ's trip can't come soon enough!
