Lidl’s Dutch Ovens Look Exactly Like Le Creuset’s—but They’re Only $20

Lidl, the German grocery store that’s rapidly expanding across the Eastern U.S., just announced that they’re bringing back their line of inexpensive cookware starting the week of September 12. While snagging bargain cookware is great on its own, I’m a big fan of this specific collection for two reasons: First, it looks *exactly* like Le Creuset, and, second, people can’t stop raving about it (Lidl released a Dutch oven earlier this year and it sold out immediately.)
The collection includes four items: an enamel-coated, 2.8-liter Dutch oven ($19.99, compared to Le Creuset's $360 version), 4.2-quart cast-iron roaster ($24.99), cast-iron fry pan ($19.99, compared to Le Creuset's $180 version) and cast-iron grill pan ($19.99, compared to Le Creuset's $185 version). Lidl's collection of cookware is oven-safe up to 464° Fahrenheit and can be transferred from stovetop to oven with ease. Plus, it comes in a candy apple red color that would look stunning in any kitchen.
I’m personally a huge fan of the Dutch oven and want to snag one for making cozy soups, chili, roast chicken and braised meats this fall. I recommend picking up a few as holiday gifts for the cooks in your life. Unfortunately, these aren’t available for purchase online, so you’ll have to find a Lidl store (you can find your nearest location here).
