Extra Credit Wednesdays is an assignment you'll *want* to do.

This year’s back-to-school season is a little different, due to the novel coronavirus. While many schools are figuring out plans for a safe learning environment, both teachers and parents are dealing with the stresses of kids returning (or not returning) to school. To help ease that stress, Kroger is offering Extra Credit Wednesdays, a discount that will help teachers and honorary teachers (aka parents) stock up for the school year.

From now until September 9, Kroger and their family of stores will offer a 10% discount at checkout on select items every Wednesday. These stores include:

  • Baker’s
  • City Market
  • Dillons
  • Food 4 Less
  • Foods Co
  • Fred Meyer
  • Fry’s
  • Gerbes
  • Harris Teeter
  • King Soopers
  • Jay C Food Store
  • Kroger
  • Pay-Less Super Markets
  • QFC
  • Ralphs
  • Smith’s Food and Drug

The applicable items include school and craft supplies, toys, games, sporting goods, housewares, apparel and electronics. This appreciation discount is a great way to get your kids prepared for the upcoming year with everything they might need.

To redeem the discount, you have to shop on a Wednesday, but you can shop either in-store or arrange a pickup. Then, when you go to checkout, just show your Shopper’s Card and ask for the discount. It’s as easy as that!

This discount is a great way to thank the teachers in your life. With Extra Credit Wednesdays, you can help them get their classrooms ready with supplies they may need. And to prepare your own kids, check out these kid-friendly face masks that are perfect for returning to school. Happy (safe) shopping!
