This Natural Cleaning Concentrate Makes My House Smell Wonderfully Sweet and Spicy

I write about cleaning products a lot (case in point: these natural disinfectants and this infuse-able cleaning line). This is mostly because I hate to clean, and I get really excited whenever there’s a product that *actually* makes me want to scrub my floors. I’m always on the lookout for the latest and greatest products to share with you guys, and I recently came across Good Vibes All Purpose Cleaner.

Good Vibes is a small business owned by Ymani Efunyale. She started her line of cleaning products in 2006 after her then-2-year-old-son accidentally sprayed a household cleaning solution in his mouth and had an asthma attack. After doing research, she started making her own DIY natural cleaning solutions that smelled like her favorite incense. Now, her cleaning concentrates come in three unique scents: Nag Champa, Sandalwood and Frankincense & Myrrh. There’s also an unscented version available for those who are sensitive to smells.

I decided to buy one of each scent, and I’m so glad I did. The Nag Champa scent smells like classic incense (magnolia and sandalwood); Sandalwood is earthy and slightly sweet (like a more-complex vanilla); and the Frankincense & Myrrh scent is spicy and musky (it smells like winter holidays to me).

The website also says that the Nag Champa is an aphrodisiac and used for better sleep; Frankincense & Myrrh is used for clearing and grounding; and the Sandalwood helps create a more peaceful environment. While I’m not sure if there’s science to back these claims up, I will say they make my home smell incredible and clean better than the chemical-filled industrial cleaners I’ve used in the past. 

Each cleaning concentrate comes in a 16-ounce bottle and can be diluted to clean pretty much everything in your house—including floors, surfaces, windows and even laundry. Each bottle has written instructions for how to properly dilute the product to make a spray solution, floor cleaner, scouring scrub and laundry detergent.

After a few weeks of using Good Vibes All Purpose Cleaner, I can honestly say I’m a convert to this all-in-one product. The scent is strong, even after being diluted, and I can smell it for two or three days after I’ve cleaned. Not to mention, I love the short, natural ingredient list: It contains just water, vegetable-based soap, vinegar, cleaning salts and fragrance. And it works like a champ.

The Nag Champa and Frankincense & Myrrh scents are amazing for larger areas like floors, bathrooms and kitchens (since I think they smell the strongest), and I love the Sandalwood scent for washing my sheets (it smells and feels like a hug). 

And, apparently, I’m not the only person who’s obsessed with Good Vibes All Purpose Cleaner. The cleaning concentrates are currently on backorder, but the online store is taking pre-orders and they’re expected to ship out in July. Good Vibes is offering a 19% discount (in honor of Juneteenth) until July 3, and it’s automatically applied at checkout.
