Aldi Is Selling Limoncello-Infused Cheese for a Really Sweet Cause
It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Aldi. We love their wine selection, unique seasonal finds like these fiddle leaf fig trees and healthy bargain items. But sometimes you hear about a product that gets you excited to pack up your reusable grocery bags, load your quarter into your shopping cart and run into the store. And we’ll be doing just that first thing on July 1 when Aldi’s new lemon cheese line hits shelves.
Aldi will be launching three lemon-infused cheeses for a limited time: Wensleydale cheese with limoncello, Wensleydale cheese with lemon and honey and white stilton cheese with lemon peel. If the idea of bright or boozy-tasting cheese doesn’t make you want to find your nearest Aldi ASAP, maybe the cause behind it will.
Aldi will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a nonprofit organization that helps raise awareness and fund research to fight childhood cancer. While we don’t need a reason to buy funky fromage for our next cheese board, the fact that Aldi will donate up to $1 million to ALSF from any of their lemon-flavored cheeses is a pretty compelling incentive to load up on these cheeses. Each wedge is just $3.99, so you can add a few to your cart each week until they’ve sold out.
