Whole Foods Recalls Pasta Sauce in 12 States for Undeclared Allergens

Whole Foods Market is issuing a voluntary recall for one lot of its Whole Foods Market Vodka Sauce, which contains undeclared milk. The recall was initiated after a consumer complaint regarding the incorrect label, which contained the wrong ingredient and allergen statement.
This product was sold at Whole Foods Market locations in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island starting March 2 in the refrigerated section. The incorrectly labeled products have a UPC code of 853594006084 and a lot code of 20057.
No illnesses, allergic reactions or allergen-related complaints have been reported to date, but those with milk and soy allergies or sensitivities should discard this product immediately as it could cause a life-threatening allergic reaction. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to milk include hives, vomiting, upset stomach, bloody stools and anaphylaxis.
