Judging by the tabloids, it seems like Hollywood's stars are notorious for being in and out of rehab. But there are also some pretty famous names who have decided to stay sober and avoid the party scene.
While the research behind booze is kind of a mixed bag-some studies say drinking a glass or two of wine can boost your health, while others say it can actually up your chronic disease risk-we can certainly respect these celebs' decisions to stay sober. Here, eight celebs who you won't catch drinking booze anytime soon (we have to say, some of these names definitely surprised us!)
The supermodel, actress, and former host of America's Next Top Model and America's Got Talent could care less about alcohol. She reportedly told fans that she's thankful not to have an addictive personality, and after having a sip of alcohol at age 12, she knew it wasn't for her.
Banks has also said holding a glass of wine-but not drinking it-makes her feel sexy.
Lamar has chosen to stay sober because of his family background. He grew up around lots of drug and alcohol abuse and is now an advocate for sober, drug-free living. He even encourages other rappers to stop referencing the use of drugs in a positive light in their music.
Kim Kardashian West
Kardashian West's sister, Khloe, told Elle back in 2016 that alcohol has never been a part of Kim's life. Kim told Andy Cohen her dad taught her to drive when she was 14, and she's been the designated driver ever since!
"Kimberly does not drink alcohol whatsoever," Khloe Kardashian said. "Pregnant or not, she's just never been into it."
Hudson told Chelsea Handler that she's flat out never been interested in drinking, and no one believes her. The triple-threat has never had alcohol in her life and intends to keep it that way.
While she is no stranger to struggling with an addiction on TV, Gillian Jacobs has chosen to remain sober for life. The Girls and Love star told Jimmy Kimmel she's never had an alcoholic beverage.
Tyler, the Creator
Tyler, the Creator is another celebrity who is disproving rapper stereotypes. While he may be a bit of a wild card, the rapper doesn't even allow any alcohol in his studio to make sure everyone has "clear minds." He also said he's never wanted to be drunk or has wanted to be known as "that drunk guy."
Kendall Jenner is another member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan who doesn't mess with alcohol. Khloe Kardashian also told Elle that her little sister takes her career very seriously and even when she was modeling in Europe-where the drinking age is 18-she was never interested in going out and getting drunk with her friends.
Trump has been pretty vocal about his abstinence from alcohol. He told Forbes that he doesn't drink because he watched his brother, Fred, get caught up in alcoholism. He even encouraged his kids to never start drinking, as he did, because it would make it that much more difficult to stop.
