30+ Smoked Salmon Products Recalled in 10 States and Washington, D.C. for Possible Listeria Contamination
Catsmo LLC, a gourmet foods company out of New York, is recalling 34 smoked salmon products for possible Listeria contamination. The potential for contamination was discovered after a routine sampling by the FDA, and the company is issuing a voluntary recall out of caution. No illnesses have been reported to date.
The following products are being recalled in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Minnesota, North Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Massachusetts, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C:
Listeriosis is a serious infection that is typically caused by consuming food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Symptoms include fever, severe headaches, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain and stiffness. If you think you have consumed one of the products listed above or are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should contact your doctor immediately.
