Offered by the historic Napa Valley Wine Train, the Santa Train is an hour-and-a-half journey to the North Pole (ahem, the other side of wine country), filled with holiday entertainment, games and music—and we should also mention there are freshly baked cookies and vats of hot cocoa to enjoy on board. You'll join Santa and your train conductor on a mission to help get a lost toy—"Jolly the Bear"—back to the North Pole in time for Christmas. The experience is made for all ages, and your inner child is sure to love it too. Plus, now you finally have an excuse to bring your whole family to Napa so you can get to sipping at your favorite California winery! Napa Valley Wine Train These Are the 3 Best Red Wines From Trader Joe's Under $10 The Santa Train has two showings per day up until Christmas Eve, and the train will resume for the 26th and 27th of December for anyone looking to keep the holiday spirit alive for a few more days. Tickets will cost you $60 on weekdays for children and adults, and $80 on weekends. Snack boxes are also available to purchase for adults and kids. Additionally, train riders are asked to bring a non-perishable food item with them to be collected at the station before departure. Napa Valley Wine Train has partnered with a local food bank for this event. This is completely optional but worth stopping by a market on the way to help support those in need. And if you're leaving the kids at home for New Year's, be sure to reserve a table on the New Year's Eve Dinner Train where you can ring in 2020 with some bubbly and a four-course meal prepared on board. Tickets are $202 per person, so it's sure to be a swanky affair—but so worth the price. We want to do it all! You Can Winery Hop Through Napa and Sonoma in a Vintage VW Bus Was this page helpful?
