Gaines shared a sneak peek on her Instagram account this week, explaining why she released a second volume of her wildly popular Magnolia Table cookbook.

"My hope with this cookbook is that it really encourages and inspires people to experiment in their kitchen, and to get after it," Gaines says in the announcement video. "I've failed multiple times, but in the failings I've learned so much, that it's kept me coming back—I never wanted to quit. But I have fun in the kitchen now, and it has definitely become something that feels more like a gift than a chore."

Gaines also shared two family-favorite—and very timely—recipes that will be in her latest book. Her Friendsgiving Casserole recipe is a comforting twist on everyone's favorite Turkey Day foods, while her Holiday Cranberry Sauce is a simple spiced version that she likes to pair with the casserole.

"What I would love is for people to get these recipes and modify them for their own family," Gaines says. "[It's] really about gathering your family at the end of the day. It's those moments that make working in the kitchen worth it every time."

This book will have recipes for breakfast, dinner, sides and everything in-between. We can't wait to try her Zucchini-Squash Strata and Lemon-Lavender Tart. And if you pre-order this book, you'll get $11 off the list price, so now's your chance!
