6 New Healthy Items Coming to Trader Joe's in September
Fall is on its way, and we are more than ready for cooler temperatures, hot coffee and all our favorite seasonal products coming back to Trader Joe's! Not only is TJ's starting to stock up on all of their fall products in the coming weeks—you should be able to find a few already—they are also launching some brand-new products that are sure to become seasonal favorites alongside Pumpkin Joe-Joe's, Butternut Squash Pizza Crust and Pumpkin Butter. These products are so new Trader Joe's hasn't released nutrition information and ingredients yet (but we will keep our eyes peeled). Here are the five new finds we can't wait to try:
Leafy Greens with Butternut Squash Salad Kit
We are huge fans of the grocer's salad kits and cannot wait to add this autumnal version to our grocery lists. This salad kit comes with mixed greens, radicchio, butternut squash, feta, dried cranberries, candied almonds and a white balsamic vinaigrette. Swoon. Eating your greens just got a whole lot easier—and delicious.
Riced Cauliflower & Butternut Squash Risotto
Lower-carb risotto? Yes, please. This dish is not only perfect for those watching their carbohydrate intake but for anyone wanting to eat more veggies without a lot of effort. We just know this heat-and-serve side will be a constant companion to our favorite weeknight fall mains. Plus, this is a great way to serve vegetables to your kids, because they are hidden in a creamy, cozy risotto. Win-win.
Vanilla Bean Paste
It's about to be baking season, and "good vanilla" is an expensive but necessary ingredient for all your cookie, cake and other sweet treat endeavors. We are thrilled that Trader Joe's is going to start selling their own private label vanilla bean paste, because we know it will be offered at a great price while still being top quality.
This looks like the savory equivalent of a cozy pumpkin spice latte. Made with real pumpkin and festive fall spices, this soup is sure to be the perfect replacement for our favorite gazpachos and corn chowders of the summer. Just watch out for the sodium content—their jarred soups and sauces are often pretty high.
Maple Sea Salt Kettle Corn
We're basically drooling at the name because who doesn't love a salty-sweet combination snack? TJ's is really giving us what we want with this autumnal spin on kettle corn, and we are here for it. If it's anything like their other popcorn varieties, it's sure to be a home run.
Savory Corn Pie
We're going to be honest here—we aren't exactly sure what this corn pie entails, but we want all of it. This crustless pie is made with cheddar and chile peppers and will likely one-up your average slice of casserole. It's bound to be a match made in heaven with your favorite chili recipe and would make a great side when entertaining this season.
