EatingWell’s Nutrition Advisor, Rachel Johnson, is the Robert L. Bickford, Jr. Green and Gold Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Vermont. Rachel holds a Ph.D. and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Hawaii. She is a registered dietitian.
Rachel is the Chair-elect of the Nutrition Committee for the American Heart Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the American Dietetic Association. She was recently appointed to President Obama's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition Science Board.
