As the EatingWell Dietitian and Nutrition Advisor, Sylvia works closely with the culinary and editorial team to ensure that not only are our recipes delicious, but that they meet the nutrition parameters we have set for ourselves. Sylvia works behind the scenes crunching the nutrition analysis numbers to assign nutrition bonuses, carb servings and icons to our recipes and meal plans. She is an occasional contributor and she develops meal plans using EatingWell recipes. In addition, she works with our corporate partners in developing custom publishing materials and content licensing agreements. Sylvia has been with EatingWell since 2004.
Outside of EatingWell, Sylvia has been a Lecturer in the Department of Food & Nutrition Sciences at the University of Vermont for the past 18 years, is past-president of the Vermont Dietetic Association and is an active member of the American Dietetic Association group Food and Culinary Professionals, for which she is the current Education Chair.
