Quick Breakfast: Cheddar Apple Melt

Hi, I'm Jessie, food editor here at EatingWell. And I'm Nicci, EatingWell's nutrition expert. Jessie, did you know that research shows that people who are most successful at losing weight eat breakfast every day? That makes sense. And there are three things that you should include in a breakfast to make it healthy: whole grains and lean protein, which are going to help you feel full, and some fruit to just start the day off right. You can do all of this just by having a bowl of whole-grain cereal topped with some berries, and pouring on some nonfat milk. All right, Nicci, or you can do this. Take a whole-grain English muffin. Then I'm going to spread a little bit of raspberry jam on it and then top that with apple slices first and then cheese slices on top of that. Great, and you just run it right under the broiler and it comes out looking all gooey and delicious.
