Seek out sardines. There's probably a tin of omega-3, protein- and calcium-packed sardines on your shelf right now. Is it gathering dust? If you've been turned off by the tiny fish's big-fishy flavor, try soaking them in milk for an hour in the refrigerator(discard the milk and pat the sardines dry before using). Serve them with lemon or other acidic ingredients, such as a vinegar-based sauce, flavorful salad dressing, strong mustard or hot sauce. Lastly, make the fishy fish an element in a meal rather than the star (think: salads, spreads, sandwiches).
