Wow, why are people so upset? Don't like vegetarian recipes = don't make them! Don't like meat free Monday = don't bother! Thanks to those that reviewed the recipes so I can decide which ones to try!

Doesn't "Meatless Monday" mean just no meat on Monday?
I don't think you need to convert to vegetarian or vegan for just Mondays.

Thanks for the 2-3 commenters that actually reviewed the food here. So helps decide what to cook! I'm not a vegetarian or a vegan and, although I think it's a great idea to have a Meatless Monday (just as a smoker might try going occasionally without, as a starting point to healthier choices), we aren't that into routine. Although there are some deep global issues surrounding what we eat, this a good 'healthy eating site'. The database allows us to hone in on the recipes that suit our personal needs (from calorie control to specific health requirements) and I, for one, am over the moon that I found this site. No matter what I am looking for (yummy with decent comments and reviews so I can be confident in (or tweek) the recipe; a site with low risk of viruses and spammers; special occasions and 'just out of ideas' days; save, or at least, prolong my husbands life; control the middle age spread; work within a budget .... every google search ends up here and, very often, the recipes here and the helpful reviews culminate in food on our table that fulfills more than one role (fits with our likes and our needs). My family have come further in our search for healthy wellness in the past several weeks thanks to this site.

Beans are great- using awesome recipes add more flavor! Meat is greasy- cheese cannot be digested by most...not vegan.

WARNING: Feta, parmiggiano, certain types of buffalo mozzarella, haloumi etc. - these are NOT vegetarian cheeses as they use animal rennet in production! Also, most wines are not vegetarian either due to use of certain clarifying substances in production, so be sure to check!

I've just become a vegetarian and I think these recipes will help me out a ton! They look and sound delicious! I can't wait to eat those amazing meals!

Peas, beans, and lentils are a very good protein sources and deserve a place at the table on occasion. However, I agree with the person who warned about soy. Sorry. Most of the soy that is now grown in our nation is genetically modified (GMOs) and should NOT be eaten! No wonder that poster and her family got sick. Always read labels on foods and avoid those with corn, in any form, as well (unless it's organic). Most of the corn crops in America have also been genetically modified. Huge profits is the name of the game, but it's not about health. If you can find organic produce, grain, etc., all the better! ugh ugh and double ugh! i am so not a vegetarian - i like the idea of a meatless monday to save money and i certainly love my beans- but these recipes go from bad to worse for me. why can't i just cut down my intake of meat - eat more veggies and definitely less sweets - maybe cut out the miller high life - and see what enfolds! it's so ridiculous - half the country is obese because they can't afford to eat properly and the other half is barfing up their food because they can. is this crazy or what?

Balance & responsible diet is good & that INCLUDES eating meat from humane farmers, but if you think soy is good for you, you are very very wrong, it poisoned my family. & soon the unexplained illness will start showing up to show how bad soy really is. If you are on soy & are having issues check out some things on the internet, my sis in law did that & it saved are health & my 4 kids health.
