This was excellent. I added mushrooms and chickpeas, skipped the cheddar and sprinkled Romano on top. I love that there's no added salt.

I don't understand why there is no cornstarch or anything in the filling. I made the pie but the filling never set. As I carried it to the dinner table on Christmas Day, the meringue slipped off of the unset filling and landed on the floor. It was the most embarrassing and disappointing thing I could have imagined. The filling was a liquid - it tasted fantastic but was inedible. Especially with the meringue in a heap on the floor.. Very, very disappointing.

The filling tasted good but the pie was absolutely inedible, especially with the meringue splattered all over the floor. Very, very disappointing.
