Cost aside, this came out incredibly well. If I hadn't cooked it myself I would have guessed it came from a Chinese restaurant. Just like authentic Chinese, it was even better as a leftover!! The only alteration I would make is to decrease the number of eggs by half, thereby making it a bit less calorie heavy.

EatingWell, you grossly underestimated the cost of these ingredients.

I came here to make the same comment everyone else is making. Glad I'm not the only one. No way I could make any of these meals for $3 per serving and I live in TX where cost of living is relatively low. Poor job, Eating Well.

Even at $3 per serving, it's questionable.

Ithink with fish sticks or pasta its possible but the rest for under 3$ no way..not even for 1 person..

I'll shop at Aldi, but I'm NOT going to walmart.

It's $3 per serving which means that if you cook for people of 4 it will actually cost you $12 to make any of this meals.

With some of the ingredients listed, I think $3 per serving is questionable.

They are talking about $3 or less per serving, not for the whole meal. Try something like Aldi or Walmart.
