I just tried this recipe and only made one substitution - cranberry beans for the Great Northern. It was very easy and tasty; I will be making it again.

NO difference between a slow cooker and Crock Pot .... Crock Pot is a brand. Nutrition info included, just below instructions.

I have been using a crock pot for years to make beans. The good news is that you really don't have to soak them before hand.

I will try these someday but, I'm on dialysis & on a strict renal diet not supposed to have beans (any type) but, dried. So, I will try these someday & just shut my eyes when making them so, then it will not matter, it is not like I'll eat the whole pot all at once.
