Healthy Fruit Bars Recipes (Slide 1)

We love these types of bars but they usually take so much butter and sugar and a toll on the waistline! This looks like a good alternative that isn't totally going the opposite direction! To see the recipes, I agree it's confusing. There should be a link you have to click and then the recipe displays.

This is a very confusing site. I have gone through all 11 pages and have yet to find the actual recipes. What ??????

Nice recipe. We have a few apple trees in our backyard, so I am always on the lookout for ways to use up the fruit. So today I made the apple cinnamon version, using a mixture of pecans, almonds, and brazil nuts (because I didn't have enough of any one kind). These tasty bars hold together well. The crust could be a bit thicker, and the crumb topping was pretty scant....but that's the way it often is with Eating Well recipes - too little of the stuff that makes it taste good! Also, I would exactly say that they "go together in a snap". You have to cook the filling before pouring it onto the crust, which takes some time, and it does use a lot of cookware, making clean up a drag. I will probably make again, but will make extra crust/topping.
