I'm stumped as to why one would use egg subsitutes rather than real eggs. That just doesn't make any sense to me. Eggs are a perfect food. Yes, they can be allergens but you can avoid that if you don't eat too many during the week.

We are all individuals and the key to losing weight is to see what works for you! What works for one person, isn't at all what another individual may like to do or eat. Just eat less and exercise. Just sayin'

I love mixing my oatmeal with apple sauce the night before, keeping it in the fridge. Such a treat in the morning!

The best breakfast is no breakfast at all. No need to spike your sugar and start up the digestion cycle needlessly. Hunger is basically limbic in the mornings, and will just grow more severe if you start eating small carb-laden meals that will send your blood sugar spiraling out of control and the addictive substances in grains and sweets rekindling your addiction to grains and sugars. If you have to eat something, go for protein and fat-based meal, and keep veggies and fruit for the evenings. Grazing just ramps up appetite, particularly on grains and fruit and sugar, and you will end up craving sweets in the afternoon, overeat at dinner, if not today, but than a few days down the road. Clean your life from all the muslies, toasts, fat free yogurts and sugars, get out of bed nice and early, have a good productive day till you feel hungry, eat some meat and eggs with some crunchy veggie thrown in, then have supper of a nice slab of meat or fish and veggies, maybe a handful of berries and go to bed comfy and full. Sleep tight, get up nice and early, move about, play, lift heavy, eat only what you've cooked from fresh ingredients... rinse, repeat and see your energy grow and grow and grow while your body becomes slender and muscular. That's the natural way of things, the way we were designed to exist & we were before grains and dairy made us sick and fat.

You people are putting way tooo much thought into this. Why dont you just stop stuffing your self. Only eat when you are honestly hungry. If you don't do much during the day, you probably do not need to eat all that much. Food is for energy, so if your laying around all day or getting ready to go to bed DON'T EAT! You don't need energy for bed. You can live 3 weeks without food. Especially fat people. Only a week without water. So start drinking more water and do some less eating and things will start looking up . HAHA! Eat a Small breakfast and you will find your self not hardly being hungry at all during the day. True!

Um, for the July 4 commenter, you get up at early to exercise because you have a job to go to. All this advice about eating right is great but some of these studies don't take into account the reality for those of us who MUST work to pay the mortgage and the bills. I drag my butt out of bed at 6 a.m. to exercise but it's a chore because I am never in bed before 11 or midnight ... because there's always stuff that has to be done. I wish, wish, WISH some of this was done with a real life in mind!!!

Why would you wake up at 3:45?? What time do you go to bed, 7pm? Strange.
