These burgers were amazing! Although what's funny is that I actually put the avocado in the meat before cooking....I was tired that night. They still turned out great though. I also used those pita pockets instead of tortillas.

I've made 2 of the above and they turned out very good and very quick. I googled 'quick healthy dinner' and got what I wanted. If you want "quick, budget, dinner" search with those terms and you will find something else.

When I was searching for quick and easy I guess I think more of recipes with everyday ingredients that most people already have aound the house. With the econmy the way it is the budget is tight. Any creative quick and easy ideas with common foods that can be interchanged with other recipes to keep within a budget?

I would like to see you add REAL healthy dishes to this page, mayo on salmon or beer battered fish tacos is not exactly healthy eating....... Do you have anything like that........ Or anything including spelt or quinoa. Please post if you do. Thanks

To Alisha:
I add extra veggies in all the time in my pasta sauce. Finely chopped spinach, grated carrots and summer squash completely disappear into marinara or other red sauce to be used for spaghetti, lasagna, baked ziti, etc. You can also mash 1 part steamed cauliflower into 2 parts potatoes in mashed potatoes (adjust the ratio to find the balance where your family doesn't ask what you did different to the potatoes). My family also loves already nutrient rich pumpkin muffins or bread, so I add finely grated carrots into them as well.
