I was twelve when I first ate salmon, I'm 76 now. It has been my favorite food since. It is my fervent hope that ocean farming will improve.

Never eat farmed salmon. Choose only wild sustainably caught salmon. See the Monterey Bay Aquarium's website for more information.

Salmon is such an easy fish to cook with. Grilled, steamed, poached, baked, or used in a stew like this creamy salmon and corn chowder recipe. My freezer is never without a package of frozen salmon fillets for quick weeknight cooking.
