It's sad for those not allowed to send peanut items to school with their childs' lunch or snack, but that's not the case for all. Keep all the options open EatingWell! I need all the ideas I can get!

It may be 'sad' for those not allowed to pack nut items in lunches...but even sadder is the fact that there are rising numbers of children in our schools with potentially fatal allergies to these things. What's sadder is the fact that these kids could quite literally die from being around nuts...not even having to ingest them. Imagine how 'sad' your kids would be if they brought nut items to school and their best friend (allergic to nuts) died due to a severe allergic reaction to it. This actually happened in Canada a few years ago where a teenage girl was kissed innocently by her boyfriend who had just had a peanut butter sandwich. Imagine how her death has scarred that poor boy.

I live in hong kong and u can't have nuts here either. We use soy butter, safe and tastes just like peanut butter.
