Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup lime juice, (about 3 limes)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, stirring until sugar dissolves.

  • Ingredient note: Fish sauce (nam pla), which gives this dressing its distinctive flavor, can be found in the Asian-food section in the supermarket.
