My husband absolutely LOVES tiramisu. I made this one for his birthday and did not tell him it was a lower calorie version until after he ate it. He said he would not have known the difference if I hadn't told him. This recipe is a healthier option that does not sacrifice flavor or richness.
Here's how we make our luscious Tiramisù with about a third of the fat and half the calories of most versions: we layer coffee-and-brandy-soaked ladyfingers with an ultra-light egg-white custard combined with rich mascarpone cheese and lower-fat Neufchâtel cheese. This healthier version of the triflelike dessert would pass muster in any Italian café.

This was WONDERFUL. You can get the ladyfinger cookies on the ethnic food isle: Goya makes very good ones. I didn't split them in half and it didn't matter at all. YUUUUM!
Very good! Best if made a day ahead so that all the flavors meld. Definitely a keeper!!!
