We used really thinly sliced sirloin, which I think is essential. The flavors worked great together, slightly reminded me of pho in salad form.
Thai Beef Salad
The hot-and-sour dressing has an exotic flavor, yet has just a few ingredients.

Cut up lots of lettuce and mix it all together.
Be sure to cut the meat really thin and don't overcook. I combined the cooked meat and the cooked sauce together and the added it to a mixed salad (spinach and char). Will make again just as is!
This is by far the best Thai receipe I have ever had!! The flavors were incredible and it tasted better than many restaurants I have been too. Bonus that it is healthy. I did forget to put the peanuts on top, but it didn't seem to matter. It was delicious and I highly recommend this dish. If you don't like spicy dishes, I would go easy or omit the serrano peppers. Also used red/green leaf lettuce rather than the iceberg. Can't wait to make this for my finance again.
This is super delicious. I made mine with leftover steak and it was so delicious I thought about licking my plate! The combination of flavors: savory/sweet/salty/spicy with the cool crunch of the iceberg lettuce is just perfect!! This is a new favorite.
