Tart rhubarb and sweet marmalade marry perfectly in this delicious compote. Try it stirred into plain Greek yogurt for a refreshing breakfast.


Stewed Rhubarb with Orange Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced rhubarb
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • Pinch nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Combine rhubarb, marmalade, sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook until rhubarb is tender, 6 to 8 minutes.
