Infused with cloves, cinnamon and citrus, this Cognac-spiked coffee is perfect for winter entertaining.


Spiced Coffee with Cognac Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups freshly brewed coffee
  • 4 teaspoons dark brown sugar
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
  • 2 3-inch strips orange zest
  • 2 3-inch strips lemon zest
  • 4 ounces Cognac, or to taste

Preparation

  1. Add brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick, orange zest and lemon zest to coffee. Let steep over coffee warmer or in a thermos for 10 minutes. Pour through a strainer into cups. Add Cognac to taste.
