Almonds get a kick from cumin and cayenne.


Spiced Almonds Recipe

About 1 cup

Active Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole shelled (unpeeled) almonds
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Toss almonds with oil, cumin, salt and cayenne pepper in a pie pan. Bake, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and lightly toasted, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool.
