Seared Steaks with Caramelized Onions & Gorgonzola

In our humble opinion, steak is best topped with sweet caramelized onions and salty Gorgonzola cheese. We recommend seeking out good-quality Gorgonzola for the best flavor, but any will work. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed carrots.

"I thought the onions were poorly flavored and the steaks overdone. Sometimes keeping it simple is the best way to go. Saute the onions in a tad bit of butter, add salt if needed and pepper, add mushrooms at the end and grill the filets! "

This was a fantastic meal! Added mushrooms to the onions a couple minutes before adding the broth---great addition! Served w/ the suggested garlic mashed potatoes and steamed carrots. Excellent! The onions with the meat---wow!
