We can now get fresh sardines at Whole Foods in California. And I've had them at tapas bars fresh roasted. Can you please post some recipes for preparing fresh sardines?

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. Mom gave us sardines on crackers before we were in first grade. Now I'm 64. We ate them every week. Try sardines in oil. Open the can, splash with a little vinegar, and enjoy skins, bones & all. Try herring too!

The only way I would consider eating this would be to add a LARGE dollop of mustard - any kind.
