Poppy-Seed Breadsticks Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces whole-wheat pizza dough
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Roll pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle roughly 18 by 6 inches. Cut crosswise into 1-inch strips. Twist each strip gently and arrange on a lightly oiled baking sheet.
  2. Blend egg white and water with a fork; brush lightly over breadsticks. Sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake until browned, 10 to 15 minutes. Serve the same day.
