This is to die for ~ We absolutely loved it ~ Can't wait to make it again!!!! I used 1 Lavash Flatbread, 1 large red onion, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp balsamic vinegar, pepper, (no sage), 1/4 c diced walnuts, 2 pears, & about 1/3 c crumbled blue cheese
Pear & Blue Cheese Flatbread
From EatingWell: January/February 2008
The classic combination of pears, walnuts and blue cheese isn't just for salad. Toss the same ingredients onto purchased whole-wheat pizza dough and make your own gourmet flatbread at home. Any type of ripe, firm pear will work—red pears look great.

Having had an amazing pear and blue cheese salad before, I knew that pear and blue cheese combo was a good one. I used whole wheat naan breads, and tried one with apple (next time I would saute the apple slices to reduce the crispness).
I did a review of this dish in my blog about cooking, "Eating the Rainbow". You can read it at http://superfoodsyear.blogspot.com/2010/04/rhapsodie-en-bleu.html
I made this last night for my wife. The contrast in taste of the blue cheese and pears was amazing.
Great recipe, easy-to-make. Great as an appetizer too!

Very tasty and filling. I couldn't find the right crust so I used a couple pieces of pita bread to make individual pizzas instead and it worked perfectly!
Made this for a friend tonight, and we both agreed that this is definitely a "keeper." Loved it, very easy to make and very tasty.
