Great snacking alternative!

I made these as a side with some mozzarella stuffed turkey burgers I also got from this site. My husband, who is not a veggie guy, said these were a great substitute for potato chips.

The only thing I changed was to put them on a rack on top of a pan, and cook them for 20 minutes are 225. i don't have a salad spinner so I couldn't get them completely dry before putting them in the oven. I also used a olive oil spray rather than drizzling it on. They came out perfect!

Try Kale In A Fun Way

This is a fun way to try an unknown green veggie. It crisps up in the oven and it's feather-weight in your mouth. A fun appetizer at a dinner party!
I used cooking spray for the olive oil and saved time and energy.

awesome!

These were so amazingly awesome! I will be making these every week! I accidentally used too much salt, but they were still deliciously light, & crispy. I think I may have almost burned them, but I liked the flavor. Since I was using a small convection oven, once I saw they were looking a little brown, I turned it down to 325. & let them cook for a few more minutes. So easy to do! Highly recommended!

Smoked kale

We put ours on the smoker. It blows away the oven version. I do agree though that it is difficult to cook them - they are either slightly moist or burnt. I will check them and take off what is done as need be and let the others bake longer

yummy salty snack

These taste like

These taste like broccoli/seaweed, but I like broccoli and seaweed!. The crunch factor is good, but don't expect them to taste like potato chips. I think 325 is a better temp, otherwise they can char easily - which sorta negates the antixidant power of kale. My favourite part is the middle rib/stem..which is more al dente than the crispy leaf, but very satisfying.

YUM! These are super quick and easy. They're like a delicate cross between potato chips and popcorn. Mine cooked very quickly. At 4 minutes when I went to turn the pan in the oven they looked done, so I pulled them out, and there were perfect.

Quick, easy, and tasty
