Very finely chopping onion, mushrooms and carrots in the food processor is not only fast—it makes the vegetables hard to detect for picky eaters. They also form the base for the sauce of this ground beef skillet supper. Make it a meal: Serve with a green salad.

I just finished making this and it is amazing. It was quick and "easy". I give it the quotes because i know it would be easier if my equipment was up to par. it was only slightly difficult because of that.

very creamy and delicious, slightly bland but just added more salt. substituted ground turkey for beef and it's enough to feed and ARMY. will be making this again!

I make this at least once a month. It is a huge amount of food. My husband, toddler and I can get two nights of dinner plus lunch for a least one of us from one batch. I've made it with ground beef, chicken and turkey. I don't add any water, just reduced sodium beef broth equal to the total amount of liquid called for. My daughter loves this. Though she isn't picky, this dish would be a fantastic way to trick anti-veg kids into eating them.

My family loved this recipe too...The thyme is overpowering but that can easily be adjusted. I would use stock instead of broth. Stock actually has the left overs from the cooked chicken etc. Broth is basically a boullian cube and water. I learned this on the food network. Anyways loved the recipe and will definitely try it again.

Finally tried this recipe. The only change I made was I didn't include the carrots - two reasons: I hate cooked carrots and didn't have any carrots. Instead I added a grated zucchini. I enjoyed it very much and will make again.
