Very finely chopping onion, mushrooms and carrots in the food processor is not only fast—it makes the vegetables hard to detect for picky eaters. They also form the base for the sauce of this ground beef skillet supper. Make it a meal: Serve with a green salad.

What an awesome recipe! Easy to prepare. I used ground turkey, 2 tsp. Italian seasoning, few dashes of hot sauce, and 2 tbs. salsa (didn't have tomato paste). Now that had flavor! Try it, you'll love it. :]

LOVED This. Made a couple of adjustments (just wanted to add my own flair)

1. Used Sausage Morning Star Crumbles (really reduces the fat and adds a nice flavor)
2. Added a dash of Franks' Hot Sauce

Great way to get veggies into my diet as well as hubbys!

I made this tonight for dinner and I thought it was a great dish. Everyone enjoyed it and it was fairly simple to prepare. I would add some more spices next time, but I will make it again for sure.

I have no idea how anyone can say this is slightly bland. I made this last night and did the following based on some of the feedback here:

Instead of 2 tsp Thyme I put one tsp Thyme and one tsp Oregano.
Used one cup of water, the other cup was beef broth.
Used 3 tablespoons of Worchestire Sauce
Used 2 tablespoons of tomatoe paste with italian seasoning.

I didn't add any extra salt due to using the beef broth and just put in a bit more pepper.

It was absolutely delicious! and yes it was enough to feed an army.

Will definitely be making this again.

I just finished making this and it is amazing. It was quick and "easy". I give it the quotes because i know it would be easier if my equipment was up to par. it was only slightly difficult because of that.

very creamy and delicious, slightly bland but just added more salt. substituted ground turkey for beef and it's enough to feed and ARMY. will be making this again!
