I thought the dressing was a bit bland, so I opted for a bottled poppyseed I had on hand, and it was delicious. I will definitely make this salad again and again.

This lively salad captures the essence of early summer with ripe strawberries, chives and baby spinach. To make it a meal, top it with grilled chicken breast.

I loved, loved, loved this salad recipe! I did have to make some adjustments to the dressing only because it was a bit too tart for me and my husband. I added a tablespoon of honey. I can't wait to make this dish again.

Put this in a salad bowl and I guarantee that by the end of dinner, the bowl will be empty. I've served it twice and my friends completely finished the bowl. This is a recipe that will make me regret the end of summer and fresh strawberries.
P.S. I left out the watercress (I'm not a fan of it).

It's a GREAT recipe and so simple. I make it for my family and guests during strawberry season all of the time. My 3yr old and 1yr old enjoy it when I make it more "kid-friendly"...remove nuts and add whole wheat pasta with salad greens.
