The sauce was absolutely awful. Luckily I only made one serving so I didn't waste too many vegetables.

If you feel like purchasing and preparing some great ingredients and then ruining them, make this recipe. Literally anything other than this sauce would make this a better dish. Chocolate syrup, ice cream, or Mountain Dew would have made a better sauce. One suggestions, if you plan on making this for dinner, make sure you have a dinner reservation at a local restaurant for later that night. Gross!!
I don't know why so many people dislike this dish...it's something different and tasty! Sure it has a tang and a bite but I for one enjoyed the change from regular boring ol' pasta sauce. If your not an adventurer of flavor and are turned off by bold tastes, perhaps this dish is better left untouched by you. ** definitely not an alfredo sauce, people. Love it in the summer with a nice glass of white wine.
The changes I made:
-Chicken for the shrimp
-no peas (I don't like the texture of shrimp or peas)
-angel hair pasta
It is definitely not a traditional pasta dish, but I really enjoyed the flavor combinations present. If you like tangy Greek style flavors, I would definitely give it a try. If you're looking for more of a warm comfort pasta dish, you should probably pass this one up.
I am glad that I didn't let the negative reviews scare me away. This dish is so good. i made it last night and i just had 2 servings of leftovers for lunch and loved every bite. It's true that it is NOT a shrimp alfredo type of dish. The sauce is less 'italian' in nature and more mediterranean (like the description says). You definitely don't want to heat the sauce. Just make sure the pasta is hot and add the sauce at room temp or refrigerated if leftovers. You will love it-it's very tasty and very different:)
