This was a wonderful, quick, and healthy meal my family loved. One major change...I used quinoa instead of brown rice. More protein and quick to cook. We added red pepper flakes because we like spice and green onions as it seems asian. My son eats it wrapped in a tortilla and we just put it on a bed of lettuce. Good hot or cold!

Based on a popular Chinese dish, these fun wraps also make appealing appetizers for entertaining. Make it a meal: Serve with chile-garlic sauce and rice vinegar for extra zip; toss diced mango and strawberries with lime juice for a quick dessert.

This was a fun meal to cook at our house on a Sunday. It is filling, satisfying, and the flavors are very tasty. I would definitely recommend this recipe!!
Take every suggestion for spicing up the flavor. Next time, I'll use more hoisin, and will add a chili sauce. My husband is super excited to get the leftovers the next day for his sack lunch!
Yum, yum, yum! I really loved this recipe! The filling was so flavorful, especially with a drizzle of sriracha for extra spice. They're a bit messy, so don't try to multitask over your paperwork! If you can dry the lettuce leaves without tearing them, that'll probably help too. Also, the hearts of lettuce and smaller leaves can be chopped and added to your next salad.
I am making this for dinner tonight so I will get back later with how they turned out, but I noticed some people could not find the five spice in the store. I looked in the spice section and was disappointed that I couldn't find it either, however when we were in the section with the Asian foods I found it there. For anyone who didn't find it try the Asian food section.
