This formula will work with just about any combination of fruit and juice. Apple juice is a nice choice for its versatility but don't overlook some of the more interesting varieties available these days like cherry, apricot or papaya.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fruit juice
  • 1 1/2 cups (6 1/2 ounces) frozen fruit, such as blueberries, raspberries, pineapple or peaches

Preparation

  1. Puree yogurt with fruit juice in a blender until smooth. With the motor running, add fruit through the hole in the lid and continue to puree until smooth.

Per serving: 355 calories; 0 g fat (0 g sat, 0 g mono); 4 mg cholesterol; 74 g carbohydrates; 14 g protein; 6 g fiber; 170 mg sodium; 559 mg potassium.
