Raita is cucumber-yogurt sauce used in Indian cuisine as a cooling balance for spicy dishes. Try it with curries or as a condiment for grilled meat or poultry.

Very tasty.

I cooked this with a chilli bean dish and a sweet potato the whole combination was delicious!

Punchy but cooling and very quick to make

Great basic recipe for cucumber raita

I made this in less than 20 minutes and it was great with a spicy main dish, there's a picture on my blog www.parttimehomemaker.com. :)

Really quick, simple and easy to adapt based on whatever you have on hand
